She was born in Thessaloniki, Greece.
She studied Graphic Arts at the Athens Technology Institute [A.T.I.].
She lived in London during the Greek dictatorship. She attended courses in Art History  and a graduate course in computer graphics for video at Middlesex Polytechnic 
For many years, she has been involved with experimental multimedia photographic techniques
Her works in film and video have been presented at international festivals and universities in over fifty cities.
The films Inner Migration (1984) and Skoria Fotos (1989) were both commended at the Drama Short Film Festival, Greece.
Her video Black Moon took First Prize in the Athens Video Art Competition, 1998, and the film ETEL ADNAN: Words in exile (2008) won the Greek Film Centre Award at the 10th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival.
The Greek Graphic Designers Association awarded her its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.
He is an associate professor of film at USEK. He has taught film at several universities. He is currently the head of the department of Digital Media, Cinema and Television at USEK, he is a filmmaker, photographer and an actor. Josef studied at California State University Long Beach, University of California at Los Angeles, as well as Pasadena City College.

She is a prominent Lebanese Actress.
She is a holder of a Higher Education Diploma in Dramatic Arts from The Institute Of Fine Arts, at The Lebanese University(1987), and a Master of Arts in Visual and Performing Arts at The University Of Holy Spirit Kaslik-USEK (2007).
She worked with many well-known directors in theater, film and television. She was a presenter and anchor in several television cultural programs.
She was a Treasurer and a Vice-president of the Syndicate of Lebanese Actors in Radio, Television, Cinema and Theater, from 2002 – 2006.
Julia is also a Drama Teacher, at the Department of Theatre at The Institute of Fine Arts (2) at the Lebanese University since 1998 until now.
She participated to several Lebanese, arabic and international festivals as an actress and as a Jury member.
The film Tramontane- Rabih of Vatche Boulghourjian was the first Lebanese Feature Film selected in 55th Cannes critics’ week at the Cannes Film festival 2016 and won the audience award the “Grand Rail D’Or” and several awards at international festivals.
She is a winner of numerous and prestigious acting awards. In 2017, she appeared on the silver screen in Lebanon in six feature films: Mahbas - Solitaire by Sophie Boutros, Tramontane Rabih by Vatche Boulghourjian, Nour by Khalil Zaarour, Go Home by Jihane Chouaib, Yalla Aakbelkoun Chabeb by Shadi Hanna, and The Insult by Ziad Doueiri.
In March 2017, she also appeared on stage in a new play creation “close to here” written and directed by Roy Dib, within the framework of the 13th Sharjah Biennial. The play will be staged in Beirut at Madina Theater,the 16th & 17th of December 2017
